Hi,

I would like to know :

1. Can I can sponsor my parents while I am out of Canada
2. Will My US Income satisfy the Sponsorship requirements?
3. If I were to start a Canadian Business with operations in the US(ran by me), will the income from the same satisfy the sponsorship requirements?
4. How long will it take?

I would appreciate any inputs from fellow CDs.

When you sponsor parents, they ask for last year's tax assesement notice. And as far as I can remember, this is one of the required documents.

So I think the answer is No. Maybe someone else wants to shed some light, but I believe they do want you in Canada for a little while before they allow you to sponsor parents.

Another note, the process is taking extremely long now, about 3-4 years if things go smoothly.
