Hi everyone,
I got a job at Charlottetown, PEI. They have offered me 55,000 CAD.
Please provide me information on the followings,
(1) Cost of living for a couple with three children (aged 10, 6 & 1).
(2) Good neighborhood for living and schooling.
(3) Indian grocery shops.
(4) How much salary I will get after tax deductions ?
Since this is my first job in Canada I have accepted the offer. I want know whether we can survive with this salary. I have no intention to save money at present.

Hey,... live happily, that is what life is all about.
Don't go for a place with less than THREE BED ROOMS. One Bath you can Manage. TWO will be a lot better.
THE Three BR places are only a FEW. So, Grab the first one that appears on the market. Some times you will have to get into the waiting list.
They will cost you anywhere from 1090 to 1250 per month and most of them do not include the "HYDRO" so you will end up paying it. Water may be included. No Internet or the cable. So any thing that comes with it is a bonus.
FOOD will be about $1000.00 pr month, don't cut corners. No beers included in this. There are only TWO GOOD groceries and make good use of them while you are there. NO Frills and the other one is : at Suite 4, 158 Belvedere Avenue, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

You will get a better break with wife and Three kids. Also there will be a GST Refund of 1090/annum and a CCTB of $1070/month for the kids.

Many I know the good neighborhood for living and schooling. I am going to work in downtown. I hope I can travel to downtown by local bus.
