I think Turkish Airline is one of the cheapest for Mumbai these days. It may cost you around $1040 to $1080 maximum $1100.

If you are confident, you can buy direct (online) from Turkish airline web site.
I have found rate for Jan 10, 2011-Feb 10, 2011 $1089.33 Tax & Fees Include.

I went through an agent for booking ticket for my wife and infant travelling to India in January and returning in March

I was wanting only Jet Airways as my was travelling alone with an infant for the first time hence did not want to try any other airline

Somehow, prices through agents were lower than that from the Jet Airways website for the same dates and you could get it between $1170-$1220 price range

I called up a few travel agents and for the same dates I received varying rates from which I picked the lowest available
