I was wondering why hasn't anybody made a thread bout college experiences in Canada.
I can't post mine since I've yet to pass class 12 :-)

It'd be fun to hear from ya all though!

Make sure you mention all the important factors like hot girls(or guys - based on your sex), academics, nightlife, craziness n all !

Some of the members may also share their kid's experiences !

Hot girls/guys, nightlife and craziness - Gratification and consequences are fairly immediate

Academics - gratification and consequences are at the end of the semester/year...which if you mess it up, it could be too late to repair.

Don't get me started on this topic.

First I would like to know about your location?.

Are in Kanata or aspiring to come here?.

For Desi's college life is about study/study/study and Work to pay off debt.

There is another DANGEROUS TREND in many universities in Canada.

A normal fun loving guy becomes RADICALIZED into religion by certain groups in colleges and universities.

If you donot trust me watch this video clip.

http://www.tvo.org/cfmx/tvoorg/theagenda/

watch the clip on The terrorist next door dated September 8, 2010.

Where this Somali gentleman himself claims groups like Muslim Brotherhood radicalize individuals after they reach college/university. Once you are part of this group all your fun is cut. This Somali gentleman himself claims he was radicalized after going to college.

This is a reverse engineering at work but unfortunately most of our Canadian home grown terrorist have their origin here.

By the way I'm offended as a Canadian about your typecasting and homophobia in your post. Why not men-men, women-women, men-tranny ?.

Sirji Kanata is open country and we have freedom to follow our individual life style based on our sexual orientation.

By the way if you still want to have fun then load yourself with tonnes of moolah and get a fancy car .

By they way white chicks dig BAD BOYS. You should have a stash(pot, crystal meth, crack, coke to name a few) somewhere which is a good bait for FUN !.

Spoiler Warning: Always carry protection as you can get STD(syphilis, gonnerea, clams and even HIV) even by oral sex or other \"Physical\" contact even without intercourse.

Girls hate NERDS(they need you only when you can do their homework) But nothing beyond it.

This forum is populated mostly by middle aged men (and women) who are either in Canada trying to find dollars and looking to moving to Canada in search of peace and dollars.

I am glad that you got a few responses to your post.

It's normal to smoke pot here too, nothin out of the box.
And yeah I know north America is very open, but the Indians living there aren't ! And that's too bad.

Edit: yeah I know it is dominated by middle aged people, but there might be a few like me too.

Good to know. Perhaps, you could remind others who have their heads stuck in the sand and diss Cdn "culture" but claim India's "culture" to be the purest.

North America is open, meaning you can try almost anything you want, whether it be drugs, sex or alcohol. One enterprising Indian student I knew long time ago even tried shoplifting since, hey, everything was very wide open to "take". However, he didn't enjoy the arrest, conviction and the record (especially petty things like shop lifting can come back to haunt you when applying for immigration).

Ahhh... I am digressing. Anyway, being wide open doesn't mean the entire population is spinning on drugs, sex and alcohol. It all depends on the path you choose. You get the freedom to choose your path and it is upto you how responsibly you choose that path.

Also, whether Indians are open or not is a question to students of your own age. Priorities of people who manage a career and family is not the same as that of a student.
