We have a booked a cruise.Just realised that our son's passport is expiring in March.We are giving it for renewal on Monday and found out that it takes about 2-4 weeks to come.Although we have 4 and half weeks in hand but its cutting too close.Has anyone experienced a delay?or any suggestion to speed up the process?

Try to apply under Tatkal scheme. you will get it faster
The Brampton office don't have any tatkal service.But Toronto office has.The additional fee is $150 and the passport is issues only for a year so another $65.
I need suggestion.Should I pay $215 extra and have a piece of mind or trust the Canadian system that it will come within 4 weeks.

Tatkal passports are issued from Consulate, 365 Bloor Street East, 7th Floor, Toronto, ON M4W 3L4. You have to go to the consulate in-person and Tatkal passport will be issued to you on the same day provided the passport officer is satisfied that your requirements are genuine.
