but before going for it.. i have checked with so many others...... about the serivce.......... truly speaking....... most of them said... it is good if not excellent........

I have taken AI thrice in the last three years. Once from Toronto (Toronto - Birmingham - Amritsar - New Delhi) and twice from New York (New York - New Delhi non stop). Excellent service!! It will be my choice again in Feb next year when I plan to visit India. The only thing I don't like is the scotch they serve, Red Label. But am sure it is a non issue for a lot of people.

I took the same route(Delhi-Amritsar-Birmingham_Toronto). Seats were empty from Amritsar onwards in that flight. We were allowed to make makeshift beds out of rows of empty seats. Slept like a baby. Service was okay.

My one and only experience in Air India and Indian Airlines - ABSOLUTELY USELESS AND PATHETIC.

KingFisher Review...

Indian govt employees(most of them) are blood sucking Parasit...thanks to them..people dont like AirIndia.

Agree. I have flown Kingfisher, Jet, Jet Lite and Air Decaan (I think it became Jet lite after merger). All of them are good. Jet was the best, others are no frills airlines with barely enough leg room.

Deccan merged with Kingfisher.
I just flew by AC to Frankfurt. All the sterward/sterwardess were 45+. With that heavy makeup hard to find out even if they are above 50. Rude with passengers. Lacked patience. They messed up my AVML. Their answer "sorry we gave out all veg meals. You can eat non veg". Gave a piece of my mind. Then they got some pasta with ketchup. Other gora passengers were also fuming.

Whereas Luf was really good. Very courteous. Great service. Good veg food.

Air Canada has lost its reputation, if they had one in the first place, that is. Service has gone down the toilet. You'll find much better service on several european carriers and select asian carriers...singapore airlines being the best (supposedly, as I have not flown singapore).

US carriers are absolutely pitiful in service. Interestingly, Northwest from Amsterdam to Mumbai has better service than the trans-atlantic lap.

We flew YYZ-DXB-BOM on Emirates and their service sure is unmatched. Right from quick checkin, inflight entertainment, food, clean aircrafts to ontime departure and arrival, they scored full points.
