Hi Greeting!
This is regarding the Applicants for Canada Immigration Visa.
My husband has been issued Canada Immigration Visa (PR) before we got married.
He went to Canada last year, due to some unavoidable personal problems reasons he had to come back to India after 15 days.
After he was back we legally got married.
He lost his PR card, got it complained and again applied & appeared for the interview to get the VISA.
He got the VISA and also informed the Canadian embassy that he is married now.
???????????????
As he is moving to Canada can he take his wife along with him?????
From where he should apply for his wife (India/Canada) for Canada Immigration Visas????
How much time it will take for the process (wife’s application) to join her husband in Canada????
What are the documents needed (to be provided for wife’s application)?????
If he apply from Canada what documents he should take (of his wife) along with him to Canada?
Is there any Alternative ways (to get VISA) for his wife to join him in Canada at the earliest?????
Kindly give right suggestions & advice as I’m in need of great help.
Thanks & Regards
(India)

Quote:He should come to Canada ASAP and start the spousal sponsorship process. It shouldn't take too long.

Thank you so much of your replies.
It’s the travel document (VISA) he has got.
As soon as he reaches Canada can he apply (wife’s application) after a day or two or he has to wait for his new PR card to be issued?
Thus he needs to wait to get a job & then apply for his wife (immigration VISA).
Please let me know the minimum & maximum time that will take for the process (VISA application for wife) as I’m working (here in India).
Kindly Advice
Thanks & regards
From India
He can file for his wife as soon as he lands in Canada. If he has copy of previous documents he need not wait for the new PR card.
He is not required to wait for his job.
Time: In Canada, the sponsorship process will be completed in two months. Then the file moves to New Delhi. I do not know exactly how long they take now ... may be 6 to 9 months.
Hope this helps
Here is a web site that posts a few of the cases. Please see if there is a similar case and if you find one then you will know the time it takes.

Thanks for all the updates & replies
As you said that he can file for his wife as soon as he lands in Canada.
Can I take the print out of the (Immigration forms) the application for PR.
Fill them up & my husband can take along with the documents.
Is it the right way or some other forms are required to submit.
Please advice what would be right as I want the process to be done asap.
Thanks & Regards
(In advance)
Please send me your email address so that I can send you the set of application forms and list of documents your husband needs to carry with him so that he can apply as soon as he lands in Canada. He can contact me and I can assist him in completing the application . Our agency is funded by CIC and all services are free. Our mandate is to help new immigrants to settle down and family re-unification is one of the programs.
Best wishes
