Anybody knows about cognosB1 any institute , school, or collage offering diploma or course for Cognos B1. I have good experience in making reports and want to work on Cognos BI reports tool.

I am interested too to know about the same which adnancanada has raised. I am also having good hand in reports making in Cognos BI. Also using power cubes.

Even I am interested . I do have Reportnet s/w also . Why don't we form a work group in which we can meet , share knowledge and perhaps tutor each other on different areas .

With a sincere effort , we can have knowledge and save training costs as well .

Hi, Some of the modules you would like to explore are :
1. Report & Query Studio (good)
2. Framework Manager (very good)
3. Powerplay & Transformer (very good)
4. SDK (very good)
5. Admin (good)

You may or may not explore :
6. Maps (a very basic product)
7. Event Studio (good)
8. Metrics Studio & Designer (good)

Usually the s/w comes with Samples but their in-class course books are very helpful as well. The manuals also can help to an extent.
You need to learn atleast #1 &2 to start with. Best product of the cognos stable would be #3.
I did all my training from Cognos Toronto but did a short course on #3 from Toronto College of Technology (TCT) - Toronto. The gentleman who taught #3 had excellent knowledge - his name was Adnan - don't know if he is still around.

Nice to see your interest, I am using 7.3 however as I am moving back to Canada next month (less than 30 days now) I will not be able to get exposure to Cog BI 8 as my company is plannning the upgrade next qtr. However I am very much interested in this approach developing here.
