Pratick,
I was more of thinking about not doing any work in both these countries but just living of the (legal) money that the govt. gives me.
For example, if I could get some $ 20,000 a year from both these countries and with free education/ library / health care, I could lead a decent life. I could earn money by Pizza delivery jobs etc...
Anyway, I was just throwing this legal options. There are a lot of details yet to be worked at. I was getting around $13-$14 in my last job and hence in that perspective, it looked great.
I found out that Australian PR is valid for 5 years but they are asking for around $2100 application fee per person which is on the high side for me now.

Hi,
I am also interested in Australia like TK.
What is the EI like their? How many hours does one need to work to qualify?
Also what is the social security system like?
Any Canadian Desi members who have been to Australia please share your
valuable input
Kind Regards
After reading your post TK , I was just wondering where will your kids be schooling- Australia or Canada
I am not interested in spending 6 months here and 6 months in Australia. Rather to see what better opportunities their may be in Australia.
