we have applied for OCI. Just wondering if anyone else on our behalf can pick up the OCI card when it is ready?

My impression from reading the content on CGI and VFS websites is anyone that holds the "receipt" can pickup the documents. I hope others can shed light on this.

I applied for OCI to CGI directly. Can i pick up OCI card from CGI between 3 - 4 or do i need to go to VFS now? can anyone shed light?
Did you find out about this. Do you have to go to VFS or Indian consulate. I am in the same situation. If you have this information please let me know. Thanks in advance.
I applied for my daughter's OCI at CGI in May. Went to VFS last week to pick up and was told that I have to pick it up from CGI.
Went to CGI yesterday, to my surprise, I was in and out of CGI office in 10 minutes, with the new OCI card. Can you believe it!!!!

Maybe those that applied prior to May 22nd need to go to CGI while those who applied after May 22nd need to go to VFS???
Based on the info I got from the VFS agent, one needs to go to VFS for OCI pickup.

Dimple, you are right. That seems to be the case. As I applied before 22nd May so it seems I have to go to the CGI.
