In this day and age where information is abundant, why do think it is bullshit without making an effort to gather the facts? It is there for a reason. Go dig facts. Read. Understand. And then speak. When you do, please try and make some sense.

You can google daylight saving time and you will find tons of resources. It is really that simple. Capische?

Think daylight saving time saves energy? Think again. Or not.

http://www.autobloggreen.com/2007/03/11/think-daylight-saving-time-saves-energy-think-again-or-not/

...."It turns out that every time Congress has studied it, it's been told that we haven't saved anything.....:kaioken:

...How about this I just thought?

Nov 4 -Clock reaches 2.00am EDT - Switch
1.00am EST = CDT 1.00am (not yet switched, waiting for 2am)
1.05am EST = CDT 1.05am (Same time!!!)
...
...
1.59AM EST = CDT 1.59am (Same time!!!)

Clock reaches 2.00am CDT - Switch
2.AM EST = CST 1.00am

That means during DST switch, two neighboring timezones will have the same time for 1 whole hour!

With no concrete theory that DST does actually save energy, for those who advocate it, why not just change the working hours? No one will complain and the objective is achieved with NO COST to ANYONE...just 1 time ALL over the world. IMO, DST is the funniest joke the west could play on the whole world.

I look forward to copyright this solution.....:D

Originally, Ben Franklin mooted this idea to save candles or lamp oil. While working for utility company, we don't notice any change in the electrical power consumption in the Province of Alberta.

However, DST switch has been proved to be responsible for the increased deaths due to collisions between automobiles and pedestrians.
