Dear all,

We are planning to land during this month and stay for about a week to 10 days. Can this short stay be any problem? Can the immigration officer refuse permission? The reason is that kids have to rejoin school and they cannot take a long holiday.

Thanks.

There was a recent incident posted here on Charcha where someone was refused landing based on the questioning. Please review it to make sure you are doing the right thing.

I have a question related to landing. Can i land in Vancover, BC and provide my friends address in Toronto, ON for the PR and SIN cards? Is this acceptable by the immigration officers?

Your flight is taking you into Vancouver. After you go through the PR process etc., if they ask you why you have provided an address in Toronto ONT for the collection of that particular document, tell them that you are visiting your friends and relatives there in Vancouver. Also that you are in transit. That should give them a good idea about your destination. You can apply for your SIN card, later, any time, from anywhere.

Hope this helps.

Freddie.
