Does anybody has taken home theatre (120v) from here to India ?
Did it worked with adapter ? pls share you experience /suggestions ..

now a days you get very good home theatre systems in india too.. branded as well as ones made by smaller companies...
sorry, no idea whether a canadian one will work there or not.

I completely agree with you ..
I had carried DVD and printer lastly ..The DVD worked fine with transformer where as printer smoked rightaway ..
The difference in prices of home theatre is almost double as of in India ( visited sites of LG and Sony ) ..
Plus on top of it for some reason I find it is easier to spend 300 dollors than 8000 RS in India ..
So I am looking forward for anyone to share his experience with home theatre from here to India ..

Most of the electronic items these days have voltage range from 100-220. That is why laptops you can take anywhere. Same goes for camcorders. The best os to check for the voltage rating for you electronic device. A lot of manufacturers make goods which are rated 100-220 V and also 50/60 Hz
So you can check the home theatre system before you buy it .

Instead of taking a newly bought home theatre from Canada; how about making a shopping stop at Dubai or Hong Kong on the way? Its worth if you have some time on hand as you would save on $$ plus there are far many options/models available that are not in Canada & no hassle of voltage.
