I get my parents to visit us every alternate year. Yes, this costs me a packet. But, this is a small price to pay for the precious little time our parents have left in them.

Seenapa,
Your kids might decide to move to India or China when they grow up. Who knows?

"The grass is not, in fact, always greener on the other side of the fence. Fences have nothing to do with it. The grass is greenest where it is watered. When crossing over fences, carry water with you and tend the grass wherever you may be"
I just been to Japan and found out that no Japanese wants to work outside of Japan.
Yet there was a time since around 1868 when thousands of Japanese left Japan to work in Brazil,Hawaii,USA, Canada etc. But after becoming a developed nation this migration has become zero.
By the 1960s, the economic recovery of Japan, stagnated large scale emigration of Japanese. Ironically, since the 1980s, many second and third generation Nikkei have migrated from the Latin American countries to Japan, where they could earn much better wages than in their economically-troubled homelands.
Similar situation is emerging in India. Now professionals will stop migrating abroad and only desperate people with limited agriculture income or less educated people will migrate outside India.
When the migration process will stop will be determined by how sooner India becomes a Developed country .(Per capita GDP equal to USa,Canada or Japan)
Maybe 10 years, 50 years or 100 years. Who Knows ?

I dont have a clue to why I am here. As far as I am concerned, this country more than qualifies for a third world country.

This topic reminds me of one of my friends back home in India...
He had made up his mind to move with his family to canada and one day sat down and explained his plans to his kids.. to which one of them replied "daddy does this mean you'll be leaving your mummy behind ? " that question completely changed his mind and he decided against moving to canada.
