Hi,

I am landing on Feb 8th. I am leaving on Feb13th. So I wont be having my PR card when I leave. I will give the address of my cousin in Toronto.

1. Is there any document that I need to process so that I can re-enter witout PR card.

2. How long will they take to mail out the PR card .

3. My understanding is that they will NOT ask me to pick up the PR card in Person, but will send PR card by Registered Mail. Am I right?

I am getting married on March 3. Both spouse and I are Indian, live in India.

4. Is it better to apply for spouse from Canada or is it better to apply from India. And which is faster.

I have just got a job in Motreal after telephonic interviews. Im in IT.

5. I mentioned in my application, that I am going to immigrate to Toronto, ON. At the port of entry in Toronto, if I say that I have got a job in Montreal, QC, will that create a problem for me.

6. Is it advisable to show the officer the fax copy or print out of my job offer?

1. you'll need PR card to re-enter
2. approx. 3 weeks
3. you are right
4. regardless of where you are physically, you'll have to sponsor your wife who is OUTSIDE cnada. [unless your wife ends up in Cda with you as a visitor]
5. you don't have to talk about montreal
6. no

Hi,

Answer to 1. What I meant is.. I saw in the cic website that if I dont have the PR card I can apply for travel doc at an embassy clossest to me. So can I apply for that and travel to Canada, because my PR card wil be with my relatives.

Answer to 4. Can my wife come with me as a tourist if Im a PR. When she has a tourist visa and is visting Canada, can I apply for her PR?

1. landed immigrants with a valid PR card cannot apply for Travel doc. You can apply for travel doc if you have lost your PR card.

4. She can apply for a visitor's visa. If she gets visa and accompanies you to Canada, you can sponsor her while she is in Cda.
