landed 2 weeks back and returned to US after the weekend stay in Toronto. i got goods to follow list in 2 copies with me, but the customs officer just gave me a form and told just fill this up and get it when you ship your things to canada that is enough and gave back my goods to follow list both copies.

when i move permanently with a truck load stuff to canada from US. how does the immigration officer know what to be taxed or not ?

when u come to canada as an imm. from any country you can declare your goods in other country like sofa, beds, ornaments etc..

so when u come back in some time limit (no sure how much) u can bring this belonging back with u ...in your next trip with no tax....

so keep this list and when next time u come back u can bring your stuff with u...with this list....
