I am in process of Canadian immigration and hope to land within next 6-10 months.
Just wondering if anybody can give me complete Information about things to do after landing in Toronto.

I need following information.

1) Area (I think I have decided Mississauga city for initial settlement).
2) Social security card
3) Heath card (What is covered once health card is issued?)
4) Temporary health & dental insurance for family(including 1 year old) as it takes 3 months to get Health card
5) Driving License
6) Car purchase
7) Bank account
8) Credit card and credit history
9) Mobile phone and Land phone
10) Internet service (Preferably DSL)
11) Cheap Indian and Canadian grocery stores
12) TV Channels and Indian channels
13) Apartment renting and eventually buying home
14) Economical furniture
15) Best month for landing
16) Job searching
17) Is it possible to work for US based company from Canada and if yes then what is needed?
18) Public transport in Toronto
19) Safety precautions
20) Good Indian restaurants and also economical catering service
21) Social gatherings, temples etc
22) Any other miscellaneous information which I may have missed here
