where are you moving to? there is quite a bit of citrix activity in alberta... if you have good references then finding a job should not be too too hard...

Hi Ulkesh,

I have experience selling Citrix software. Was working with Datapro earlier who were Country distributors for Citrix.

I too got visa recently & moving to Calgary, Alberta in August.

I am looking for a job in s/w sales. Ofcourse willing to do odd jobs till I get a job in this field.

Thanks.

My suugestion is that instead of taking odd jobs as soon as you land, use your initial funds for living and work with an IT reseller on Citrix sales on commission/profit sharing basis. This will give you \"Canadian\" sales experience as well as contacts in the industry.

In sales, it is very difficult to get a salaried job without \"Canadian\" sales experience and rightly so.

What sales process experience do you have? Inside sales, outside sales, order taker, consultative sales, cold calling?

Hi AnilKG,

Thanks for your reply.

I have varied experience in sales. Initially I started off as a Sales Executive making cold calls, following up on enquiries, sending quotes, taking order & ofcourse taking payment without which no sale is complete. Also handled dealers. Subsequently our company got into selling thro' dealers only since we became Country distributors, so I was responsible for appointing new dealers, promoting business thro' them & also handling major corporate accounts. Also co-ordinated with major principal companies like Microsoft, Citrix, Corel, APC, etc. for business promotion. In addition, I was the Branch Manager responsible for profitability & administration, etc.

So it is a mix of inside, outside, dealer channel, consultative & cold calling.

If you say so, I can send my resume to you so that you have a detailed idea. Maybe you can suggest a few changes too.

Thanks & regards.

Rajan.
