I have plans to go to bangalore by the end of July 2017 (just one person). Should i buy ticket now or few days before the departure date? Someone told me that airlines sell ticket at a cheaper rate few days before the departure date. is it true?

The right time to plan is about SIX Months ahead of time. Then pay and pick them up when the Travel Agent Calls. Currently they are all in the Electronic format. So, that also saves a lot of running around. Also check the Airline's OWN Website as suggested.
