you may operate as a sole proprietor or by incorporating a company which costs around C$800 or less.

there are lots of imports from India and there are prospects in every type of goods & services. It all depends on how you market yourself etc etc.

Your questions require more time to answer and you'll be better off talking to a business advisor or friends who know about it. Try searching this site for similar posts.

There are several South Asian/Indian business organizations. I am aware of Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce and TiE. In my experience and others whom I spoke with about their experiences, these assoc. are just like other North American desi organizations - overpromise underdeliver! Unless your business is targeting specifically desi population, my advise will be to get involve instead with mainstream organizations such board of trade, chamber of commerce, YTA etc.

I am sure there are people on this forum, like me, who will be happy to guide you with any specific queries you may have about business startups. Also do an Internet Search on Starting Business in Canada and you will find myriad of information.
