Did anyone called 911 for such help?
I have few experiences and nothing to cheer about Canadian Police.
On one such incident, Three guys where knocking my nephew's first floor apartment's window, he immediately called the police but they came only after 45 minutes. Fortunately the robbers where not able to break-in.

I happened to call 911 in Halifax ( erroneous pressing of keys ) - despite clarifying to the operator who took my call , there was a cop at my door step in 5 - 10 minutes on a January night .
