Metropass users accustomed to driving to the subway in the morning may need to reconsider their commute next year when they will no longer be able to park free in TTC lots.

Elected transit commissioners voted last night to charge pass holders between $2 and $6 a day to park in any of the TTC's 16 car lots, starting in the first quarter of 2009.

Looks like there will be a day when we will pay but can't use the transport!!!

Why can't they think of reducing the pay instead of cutting down on passenger facilities >>

Life within Toronto city is becoming more and more interesting... first additional taxes on land transfer and vehicle registration, then TTC parking becoming pay parking... These + the general hike in prices including that of gasoline. Just hoping my mortgage rate also won't go up.

Come on guys !!!! they have to do this

I was waiting to see some kind of compensation being collected from us, since the last TTC workers strike. This extra income is going to be used in more than 6% of salary increase of the all the workers per year as per the new contract & also for their extravagant medical insurance & coverage.

It all comes back to our heads...... doesn't it ??????

Miller & Co. force us onto the TTC for everyday use, then give TTC the right to Strike - by not declaring it an essential service -then the TTC does really go on strike every 2-3 years - people attack TTC drivers out of frustration - TTC levy heavy fines for attackers - people attack with greater agression - TTC go on strike again...LOL..not in the very distant future...a never ending story...and we all move on with our everyday chores...
