On a more serious note, look at the problems surrounding India - Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Sri Lanka. 
..not to forget China all the time looking to take away border states.

Yes you are right regarding the safety, but I am not sure if our politicians are mature enough to understand the gravity of the situation. Our people are not safe anymore, look the internal and external fights and the subsequent loss of lives...
