Hi,

I have recently immigrated to toronto, basically an electronics engg. (credentials evaluated by toronto university as equivalent to 4 years electronis degree) have been into teaching field back home in Mumbai.
I have been teaching Maths, electronics & Science to secondary & XIIth grade students for 3 years.

Back in india we dont need any special certification for teaching but i guess here I am being asked to get certification from teach in ontario & their website says that we need teachers training certification for teaching here.

Can anyone guide me what exactly should one do to be certified to teach here in canada, either in private or public institutes.

Call the Ontario teacher's association and set up a meeting with one of their advisors. They should provide you with information about what you need to become certified. Websites often just have very general information and may not tell you what you need. The association will likely charge you but will evaluate your degree - rather than having you go through another credential evaluation service.
