Immigration File Transfered to Detroit Office

Hello,

I applied for immigration from buffalo in the end of 2005 and recently i got the letter from them saying they have transferred my application to the Detroit office in beginning of Jan 2007. The Detroit office may contact me.

My question is, is there any specific reason immigration file get transfered to detroit from buffalo? Is it could be a case of interview call that's why? or some other query?

Do I need to be prepared of something as of now?

And should I get my CAIPS now or shouldn't?

Let me know. i thank everyone on this board.

the reason is too much rush in buffalo I think...
yea yeay get ready for interview I think...
Its upto you to order CAIPS I think...

Both of you should apply for CAIPS. It doesn't cost you anything but you would know what's up with your file.

when i applied back in april 2003 i got a letter from buffalo office saying my file is going to be transfered to detroit. but no file was transfered and i got the approval on feb 2006. no interview and just they request to send them proof of employment thats it. hope the same with u.

Nothing to worry.

File trasfered means they are sharing their work load.
and As far as orderinga caips ,its not a right move cause it does'nt show anything on caips cause they have'nt assessed ur file.

according to another forum(MORE THAN 20,000 CASES) ...u shud be receving something abt Initial assessment after the transfer of file,
also based on a group on interent..where cases are transfered to detroit office
i came to knw abt some facts abt it
-detroit office issues interviews to maximum applicants..and 60 percent of them...later on are issued medicals with a interview waver..i knw thats strage
- they take longer time than othter cic offices..the fastest right now is CIC New york
