1. What is the reason that CHC takes so much time to issue visa after medical is done ? Do they check backgrounds in this time period ?
2. How CIC do the background checks even if we have provided them Original PCC ?
3. What is covered in first 3-years private health insurance ? Any good private health insurance in Toronto ?

1. always possible
2. background & security checks are different from police clearance.
3. you probably mean first 3 months. depends on the type of insurance you buy. Usually, you'll buy comprehensive that covers hospitalisation & surgeries. I think Blue Cross is a popular one.

What's the explanation of background and security checks ? How is it different from Police clearance ?
Don't private insurance cover cost of medicines in Canada ?

1. background/security checks = whether you are a threat to Canada [more to do with terrorism etc]

2. PCC = check whether you have any criminal conviction

3. Free Health coverage is universal after your initial 3 months in Canada.
