I use LocalPhone http://www.localphone.com/?rb=Nv2ZQraV4aWE%2BzHm8ctLvM7u1dvIrKBvJBmVRF0x%2FVs%3D - very good quality and you can use your base phone for talking and it's cheaper to call on cellphone than landline. It's almost 2Cent per minute and you can use your base phone to make phone calls- good quality.

I use Localphone

Calling to India: Mobile is 1.5 cents US/min. and Landline is 1.7 cents US/min. They will give you a local number for each number you dial to anywhere in world.

If you want avoid using local number to save on ;ocal call and want to use direct number to call India, then you can use Localphone SIP feature but then you have to be in a wifi zone. I am not sure if it works over 3G
