Haryana constable mowed to death








Gurgaon, Dec 30 (IANS) A Haryana Police head constable was knocked dead by an unidentified vehicle Saturday night and his body lay on the road the entire night, police said Sunday.

Head Constable Anurag, 28, resident of ward 16 of Kosli in Rewari district, was posted at Budhera police post under Rajendra Park police station.

"His duty was to keep a surveillance on night traffic. While he was on duty, an unknown vehicle crushed him to death," said a senior police officer.

Anurag's body was seen by a passer-by Sunday morning. He informed the police control room.

He was declared brought dead in hospital. His body was handed over to his family after a post-mortem examination.

A case of death due to negligence has been registered against what police say "unknown people".
