Bollywood in Dubai for 'Azaan'

Dubai, Oct 13(IANS) Mallika Sherawat, Sohail Khan and Urvashi Sharma added glitz and glamour to the red carpet to the world premiere of 'Azaan' here, along with the film's actors, Sachiin Joshi and Candice Boucher.

The premiere was held at Grand Cineplex here Wednesday night.

Mallika, who covered herself up in an achkan-style suit, said: 'Sachin is a dear friend. He invited me here for the premiere. I am sure the film will do well.'

Urvashi too came in a desi avatar -- flaunting a pink and beige sari.

But all eyes were on Playboy model Candice, who looked elegant in a purple and black gown with a daring back.

'Azaan' marks the South African beauty's debut in Bollywood. She is excited.

'Bollywood is so colourful. I really had a good time working in this film and look forward to more work in the industry,' said the actress, who plays a sand artist in the film.

The movie, directed by Prashant Chadha, is also the debut Hindi project for Sachiin, who has earlier featured in southern films. He has earlier worked in Telugu movies like 'Mounamelanoyi', 'Ninu Choodaka Nenundalenu' and 'Orey Pandu'.

He has high hopes from the film, which is about a man who goes beyond enemy lines as an informant to save the country from the threat of biological warfare.
