Raipur, Nov 7 (IANS) The 12-year-old mineral rich Chhattisgarh got a new state capital - Naya Raipur - Nov 1 and now an airport terminal which was Wednesday dedicated to the people by President Pranab Mukherjee here, an official said. Mukherjee inaugurated the New Integrated Terminal Complex which can accommodate 700 people at a grand function held at Raipur's Swami Vivekananda Airport in presence of Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh, Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt and Chief Minister Raman Singh, the official added. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has spent about Rs.150 crore for the new terminal which is to be made operational from Nov 10. "The beautiful complex has the capacity to serve 700 passengers, equipped with centralised air-conditioning system, five lifts, three escalators, sophisticated CCTV, public address system, fire-fighting equipment and two aero bridges," AAI Chairman V.P. Agrawal, told newsmen.
