Seoul, Feb 20 (IANS) The Indian junior squash team began with emphatic wins in the Asian Junior Team Championships here Wednesday. The India junior men, seeded second behind Pakistan, routed China 3-0 in their opening match, dropping only 10 points in the nine games played. Mahesh Mangaonkar, the No.1 player, sat on the bench for the match giving his teammates a chance to get used to the conditions. The Indian girls, the top seeds, too convincingly won their opener against Chinese Taipei 3-0 with their No.1 player Anaka Alankamony sitting out the match. The results: Junior boys: India beat China 3-0 (Madhav Dhingra bt Wu Kaiyuan 11-1, 11-0, 11-0; Kush Kumar bt Liang Jun 11-1, 11-2, 11-3; Deepak Mishra bt Yang Tianxia 11-1, 11-1, 11-1). Junior girls: India beat Chinese-Taipei 3-0 (Harshit Jawanda bt He Xinru 11-3, 11-2, 11-4; Aparajitha Balamurukan bt Duan Siyu 11-5, 11-5, 11-1; Lakshya Ragvendran bt Peng Zhenni 11-1, 11-0, 11-0).
