Designers slash prices - all for a cause!








New Delhi, Feb 18 (IANS) Time now to grab designer wear at marked down prices. A host of designers are set to sell their high-end collections at low prices as part of a shopping fiesta titled Splurge.

Designers like Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Ranna Gill, Shantanu-Nikhil, Rahul Khanna-Rohit Gandhi and Rina Dhaka will be a part of the one-of-its-kind exhibition.

Organised by Delhi Dynamic Round Table 157' (DDRT157), an organisation dedicated to the socially bereaved children, the event will be held Feb 22 at the Sheraton here.

Gupta feels happy to be the part of the event.

"I think it's a great cause. Delhi Dynamic Round Table 157' is concentrating on the education for the underprivileged, which is commendable. I'm happy to be a part of Splurge, a venture for a cause of education and for building schools," Gupta said in a statement.

The event will be divided into two sections - the Splurge Fiesta will bring in entrepreneurs from different lifestyle spaces such as home decor, garments, jewellery, fashion accessories, kidswear, footwear, paper crafts and many more to showcase their products.

The Splurge Elite will have some of the known names showcasing exclusive collections, which will be available at a discount, read a statement.

A few others who will be a part of the exhibition are Kavita Bhartiya and Anju Modi as well as companies like Van Laack and Porsche Design.

Modi, a veteran designer, said: "I am showcasing my collection and I am happy to be a part of this cause for raising funds for educating the underprivileged children".
