Bangalore, Feb 11 (IANS) Food products major Britannia Industries Ltd posted Rs.62 crore consolidated net profit for the third quarter of this fiscal (2012-13), registering 11 percent growth year-on-year (YoY). In a regulatory filing Monday, the Bangalore-based biscuit maker said consolidated revenue during the quarter under review increased 16 percent YoY to Rs.1,608 crore. "Our growth momentum is solid with 16 percent increase in revenue during this quarter. We continue to invest in our brands and infrastructure to drive profitable growth," Britannia managing director Vinita Bali said in a statement here. On standalone, the parent company's net profit for the quarter grew 5.3 percent YoY to Rs.57 core and revenue 17 percent up YoY to Rs.1,453 crore. For the nine-month period (April-December), the company's consolidated revenue is up 13 percent YoY to Rs.4,499 crore and net profit grew 21 percent YoY to Rs.167 crore.
