I think what's happened in India is that just some superficial changes have taken place in the last few years like swanky shopping malls, multiplexes , high end cars , smart phones , electronic gadgets , clothes , super markets, fancy restaurants , clubs, interent easily available etc .

People are confusing that with a better life & things being changed. Most of the above things are of NO use if you can't afford them & can't access them..most people still can't use the above or afford the above .

But the basic problem & the systemic problem of corruption , law & order , VIP culture, pollution , population , sanitation, hygiene, infrastructure, rude & arrogant Gov. employees , ZERO customer service from representatives in shops,banks,call centres, private companies etc still exists , inflation, owning a house/flat almost out of reach of a common man, expensive education fees for kids , expensive medical fees & bills, caste, class, religion discrimination ..all these things are still the SAME.

Customer service is NON existent in India ..they don't even know what a customer is or the importance of a customer. Bad customer service doesn't get punished , & no one is held accountable & responsible for their actions, so they continue treating customer's bad.

Also there is a cheating & dishonest mentality prevalent everywhere ..be it that builder who sells you the flat & it takes years & years for possesion or it could be some other company. They KNOW that the police won't do anything to them & if it goes before the courts , it will take years & years before your case is even heard !

So you have to be careful in anything you do or buy ..as your first question is : Is this guy going to cheat me ? Is he going to run away with my money ? ..so you can't really trust anyone or do business dealings with anyone

Career bridge is good but better is Gabriel Catholic. Many people in 2003 got good jobs through Gabriel.

The waiting list in Gabriel used to be in excess of 3 months then. The waiting list will be more these days. So always have a plan B.

Google and find out if any other new agencies have come. They may be offering a better deal.

If you have real hands on experience in mobile software testing, you will get a job soon. Dont waste your time thinking about volunteering. I do see many companies accepting foreign talent (esp from India) in QA and development without any hesitation. So I would suggest spending some time building a good resume and prepare for interview. You must be able to backup your resume with real examples and quality response.

If for any reason you dont get a job after few interview, you might then want to think of the other suggestions.
