First of all, the opportunity I posted earlier is not a copy/paste based on a random dig up from job sites. It was an email sent to me by a recruiter with whom I have had contact before. Therefore, in the interest of spreading through the network, I posted.

However, clearly, we can see the direction of this thread. Absolutely saddening and idiotic.

Second, CD is not the only place I disseminate the information. There were other venues including my email contact list. Two individuals from the local area (between Windsor and London) have expressed interest and I have connected them with the recruiter. Therefore, this matter is now considered closed.

There has been a few instances where individuals have been hired through a networked path, either directly or via a recruiter. As an example, approximately a little over 2 years ago, I posted an opening on CD, and an individual took the initiative to express interest rather than posting worthless drivel. He turned out to be a great person to hire, and he is still in my group, albeit at a different organization (I hired him into the new company when I moved).

I have also hired one or two through networking on LinkedIn.

Remember, recruiters whom you have had contact with in the past constantly reach out to seek you or candidates, if you've proven your worth. Many times they are expecting you to do their work, and many times, they are opening an opportunity for you. Those are the kinds of communication I pass on to my network. What I find interesting on CD is that a few manage to spin anything and everything into something negative regardless of the content that is presented.

Dimle2001 :

I feel sorry for the way this thread turned out - but it is in your interest and for the sake of your own sanity to not read/reply/heed to posts from posters who do not know the difference between job posting from job site robots and a respectable senior on this forum. While these posters cannot distinguish such nuances and brag all about their qualifications, it is totally understandable the mental state they are in currently.

I hope you continue contributing as always.

I fully second Hiren's comments above .

Please do not be dissuaded by others posts ...

Nobody has any business telling others that the posts are inappropriate as long as they do not violate any of the forum rules .... ( for eg include profanity , solicit business ,is a spam or gets overly personal)

CD s do deserve your job posting as much as a single CD may air his / her opinion and not that of everyone...

Sorry I came in late .

Dimple2001,
Please continue to post job postings that come your way. I am sure it will be useful to someone. CD's are smart enough to differentiate between a sincere post and troll post. Its a pity that someone like TK is suggesting Dimple2001 not to post something - as he feels its of no use to this site and CD's. I guess he has no life.

Thanks hchheda, Fido and northyork_desi.

Agree with what you are saying. I will continue to chime in, as appropriate. That's not going to stop. Enjoy your weekend.
