When CBI was about to apprehend and question Quattrocchi, he escaped from India. He was never able to be questioned. His funds frozen by an England Court, thanks to the "magnanimity" of MMS, was released. MMS even commented that Quattrocchi was being harassed too much. So much for his Mr.Clean image.
May be one of Quattrocchi's assistants escaped to Canada.

Thanks to hostile fast bowling even in unhelpful conditions, aided by a weak middle order that were past their prime and slow in their reflexes, and some excellent fielding, field placement and captaincy of Darrren Samy West Indies were able to restrict India to 209 and gain valuable first innings lead of 95 runs.
Anyone who likes the game of Test cricket will only have the best wishes for the West Indies players. That they have gone down during the last 2 decades make us feel sad for the state of the game. Poor infrastructure and payments, compared to the superstars of India. The WIs are powerfully built, play their game very hard, but it hardly shows on the field unlike the sledging Aussies or the avaricious Sri Lankans who appeal for LBW even for a ball pitched outside the leg stump and going out. Like their own WI isles culture, there is no MNCs or Corporate cut throat competition, just go about and enjoy their game, as they would their own lives.
We had Fidel Edwards bowling at 145 plus all the six deliveries in his over. If only we had one such bowler, we would give him Bharat Ratna. Our own Bharat Ratna candidate, was out for 7 in his quest for the remaining 93 runs and the elusive century. Never mind, you have a street corner BCCI head quarters, another 93 test matches, and even before that there will be a tour of /by Bangladesh. For the umpteenth time, our hero played across to a ball bowled on the middle stump and was plumb before the wicket. Instead of graciously looking at the umpire for his verdict, would show his back to him. The umpire being more professional lifted his finger. Any school coach of a 10 year old would scold him so much on his return to pavilion for such a stroke, that the boy would be in tears. But all the billions had blurred his vision, slowed his reflexes and made him shameless.
Definitely a word of praise for Rahul Dravid. Like in England, he went about his work in his own serious and methodical way, his temperament and game very much suited for test cricket. No PROs off the field to promote his cause even if he was not doing well and that makes him concentrate and work harder on the field.
