Taking money to india– Cdn or US

Hi All
I'm travelling to bombay next week and would like your valuable input on if I should carry Can or US dollars. I was hoping to carry US(cash) and Scotia just ruined it charging me 2.25 per 100 US. Is there any place that i can do it for cheaper? If not, is it cheaper to transfer Cdn directly to my bank in bombay?

Why you want to change and lose money in exchanges ?

Take Canadian .... it has good demand/rate in India and you can exchange easily.
