Hello all,
I am a Mechanical Engineer looking for a job. I have Canadian education and 3 years experience.
Anyone has any leads/know anyone who is hiring? I can send my resume through if required.
Will highly appreciate it.
Thanks!
Three yrs of experience doing what? Remember, what your degree is and what you have been doing need not be same. Also what you want to do need not be same as well. My wife is a civil engineer and is in the automotive manufacturing dealing with mechanical and industrial engineering stuff.
Consider your degree as a tool that will place above people who don't have any, but you need not restrict yourself to mech engr related jobs. Hope this helps.

hello
Thanks for the reply.
The problem is that my post graduate work permit expires in 2 weeks and my PR application hasn't reached a decision yet.
So, I guess I'll have to stay unemployed now, till I my case finalizes.
and to your other point, I agree that you can work in any field regardless of your degree but I like my field of work and secondly, its more fruitful to find work in the field you have your education...as there will always be people more qualified that you if you jump to another field, unless you have strong transferable skills.
That's my perception.
What do you think?
