Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I and my husband will be moving soon to Canada and shall be landing in Toronto. Can anyone guide us in buying a house, whether to go for a house on rent basis or share with some other family, as its for the first time we are coming there and we don't have any friends or relatives in Canada, and how much will it cost if we stay in Sharing with a some other family or take own house on rent basis.

Also pls advice which area should be better to stay and easy to get a house.

As a newcomer to Canada one should NOT rush into buying a home. Unless you are arriving here with enough money and are putting 30-40% as a down payment, and buying works out cheaper than your monthly rental. But do you have a job? What about recurring monthly expenses? Do you know where you will find work?

As earlier said, it is always a wonderful exprience to live in your own home, real estate is a great investment in Canada and the economy is booming. Your home is one of the biggest investment, but buying a house without proper planning is NOT recommended. You need to figure out your goals first, priortise yourself in terms of children's schools, a job that will pay out your monthly mortgage and select an area based upon school, your place of work, distance to amenties, neighbourhood etc.

You should first look for a job and settle down and once you are confident with your monthly cash flow, you should consider buying a home. Look for a rental accomodation initially and once you are well settled in your job/business, contact me for home buyer interview.
