About RainSoft!!


Have you ever responded to a telephone call to conduct a "free" water test in your home. We had a visit from our Local Rainsoft salesman last week , after the phone call. He was a typical salesman, fast talker but I guessed he was tactifully eliciting too many personal details (Later I found out from the net that RAINSOFT was and is the biggest violator of the code of ethics). He completed the testing and proved to us that our water is a lot polluted.

Then he started that the system will cost around 7500.00. He worked the numbers so it looks like your monthly savings will pay for it for 10 years. But said he is giving equivalent free stuff. Here my brother and his wife, both educated individuals fell" for it after hearing him for 4 hours till 11.00PM .it took that long as I was not convinced, quickly rushed to check on the internet about this company . It took NO TIME to find a lot of complaints and the Better Buisness Bureau had a bad record on them. But my brother was so convinced that he had signed it. The salesfellow said he made arrangements to install the very next day though it was Sunday.

Thank God, the doubt had been created in my brother’s mind and early next morning he read all the details over net and immediately called the sales guy to get out of the agreement.. The guy rushed to our house with another man (claimed to be Manager or VP) and made a last minute sales pitch with my brother saying that most of the complaints are posted by competitors again wasting our Sunday afternoon By now my brother was totally exhausted and said enough is enough and asked them to return the void cheque and papers.

We are breathing a big sigh of relief and hope our experience will help others.
Do Pass this info along to your friends and neighbors. And remember if anyone is selling something that you can only get the deal by signing up NOW that is a warning flag . If they can sell it today anyone reputable will sell it tomorrow for the same price.
Watch out for the salesmen, they get paid to get your money!
