Fewer than 40 per cent of 132 medium and large-sized companies surveyed by the Board in 2004 had offshore suppliers or contracts
The companies surveyed identified manufacturing as the business function most frequently sent to offshore locations.
About 70 per cent of responding organizations currently spend less than $1 million on offshoring activities.
This much offshoring has little impact on local Canadian jobs... and big firms spending abt 1 million dollar, in total, doesnt seem to be a huge amount too.
