Just curious how many desi's actually got help from job consultants like people bank, ajilon for jobs.
On websites like workopolis they are always posting entry level and basic positions however they seem very oriented towards exisiting professionals! Does anyone have experience with them or any success stories. do post..

I had a similar Ques. in mind. How many people have recvd employment in their field thru these agencies like : apple one, adecco, waterford, bilingual, spherion etc. Because half of the jobs posted at workopolis or any other canadian jobboards are from these agencies.

If you talk about call center jobs, I would say agencies like AppleOne are able to place you if you meet their requirements. Not too sure about other fields. Also depends on location. If you go to the same agency in say Brampton, most probably they will have only labour jobs! "We have only industrial work available!"

With one of the consultants when i followed up, she told me my skills were not good enough. I knew the results of my assessment so I told them that it was not correct. It turned out that she had lost the test and said why dont u come and register again. (frankly this would be the 3rd time i was going to be taking the test and register with that consultant so I told her I will pass 4 now).
But thankfully I followed up and found out as I would have had my hopes on her.
