yeh right....we can handle ourselves much better if light were gone back home..but here it was made a big deal out of.
im living in an apartment and since tat day of blackout they have been conserving electricity by switching to the emergency lights instead of the normal electricity.
everything runs on electricity in my apartment and i also had to wait like 12 hrs till the lights came back on..no food...no cool air from the fan/ac....water shortage....damn!!!
if only there was a back up it would have been ok...like having a gas stove or smthing.
i feel sorry for those who got stuck on the lifts/trains, and those who had to walk all the way back home or even sleep on the pavements.
i think we are much better off managin this back home than being here...

agree, here you are almost disable as you can't do much having no power around plus u r stuck for all living necessities, o well, this has showed us that north america - such an advanced part of the world can also be caught behind..
and yes, tamuduji, if u want a gas line extension, here is the raincheck...
