Just like there is a difference in can't and not expected to, there is a difference in tum and aap!!

My 2 cents worth......

If you speak slowly, clearly and grammatically correct english then I am sure that accent will not matter. Of course it might create a bit of a problem if you say something like "I yam frum yindia" :D . Everybody will understand if you say grass (instead of grayess?) if it is pronounced correctly.
