Hello, one of my relatives was travelling frm toronto to india via london. Her purse was stolen right from the scanning table while she herself was passing thru scanning. After lot of trouble, and arguments, after few hrs, they found the purse on run way....All things were intact as police was called and these things could be traced....but money (CDN $ 1000) was missing.
I have written many many times to London Air port authorities and to air line but they both blame each other for this.
Any suggestions, whom should I approach and how should I approach to get this $ back ?
It was definitely their mistake / error as it was on their desk / table for scanning and some one picked up from there. And their camera did capture who had taken it.
Thanks
Hi there,
thanks for sharing that with us, you probably saved someone from the forum from losing some bucks.
I have to keep my eyes open next time I empty out my pockets in front of their scanning machine!

Ya, and not only that, before they found purse, they said, she cant go to india as she does not have a ticket or passport and she cant stay in London as she does not have visa for london and she cant go back to canada bcos her visitor visa expired for canada ! What was she supposed to do ? Disappear ?
Later an indian lady (air line staff) was kind enough to offer one night accomodation at her residence (finally, it was not needed but at least she was being considerate to another indian lady ...who was alone in an unknown country with language problem and in trouble). I dont know her but where ever she is, i thank her for her kindness.
