I came across a couple from Bombay and they proposed to form a group of like minded people and that is how we started meeting. The first episode was a picnic and the second and third were get to gather at residence of friends who have joined the group.
The basic interest is to have fun and also to exchange news and views.
We have totally ten familes and we hope to meet once every month.
Mostly we have pot luck. Every body are same. We are flexible and listen to good suggestions, the basic idea to keep on meeting.
We have talented people in our group. good singers, mimic artist, fun creating etc......We continue our quest of finding more of this as we progress.

Also, it is not a bad idea of having a small directory with address, phone no and photos etc of about 1000 to 2000 Canadaian desi's of our group.

And we can have our own shared facilities, which will be economical in long run and will be a great help to all future desi's.

A serious thinking in this direction is required.
