This is current status of our survey:
8 or less - 41.3%
more than 8 but less than 10 - 25.2%
more than 10 but less than 15 - 14.7%
more than 40 - 9.1%
more than 20 but less than 40 - 5.6%
more than 15 but less than 20 - 4.2%
It means that we have 40 percent people doing their first job at the rate of 8.00 or less, 65 pecent people doing their first job at the rate of $10 or less and 80 percent people doing job at the rate of $15 or less!
In other words there only a few people - about 20 percent getting relatively good job at first.
Interestingly there are about 10 percent people got the salary of $40 or more!!! Are these people USA H1 holders migrating to Canada? Chances of these are more.

My first job was 6.75 Canadian dollars in 1999.
Now I am making over 40.
Thats the point!
Look at another related poll:
Poll: How much you are earning per hour? (Please answer only if you are in Canada)
Under $8 - 18.1%
$8 and more, less than $10 - 14.2%
$10 and more, less than $15 - 18.7%
$40 and more - 16.8%
$20 and more, less than $40 - 16.8%
$15 and more, less than $20 - 15.5%
So after some time out of thoes 40 percent people doing their first job at the rate of 8.00 or less, there are about 22 percent people start earning more.
Same way out of 65 pecent people doing their first job at the rate of $10 or less, 32 percent remain in the same slab, and out 80 percent people doing job at the rate of $15 or less, only 40 percent people are still earning same after some time!
So we are progressing - definately!!!

Hi Brothers,
it is good that u people have put true picture of Canada on the web for our benefit. I have few simple questions:
1. If a person do not spend from his brought funds (savings) can he survive in canada. i mean can a new immigrant earn roti, kapra and makan in first ten days??
2. do they require licence even for a electric gadget repair work like, iron, geyser, motor, fan etc?
3. can we drive bicycle without a licence? is there any parking space for bicycles?
4. how much costly is average indian cooked (ready to eat) food?? or which foods are cheaper?
5. how much does the cheapest Toronto-Delhi and Toro-ND-Toro ticket costs by Ship?

1. If a person do not spend from his brought funds (savings) can he survive in canada. i mean can a new immigrant earn roti, kapra and makan in first ten days?? NO!!! YOU NEED 1 MONTH OR A LITTLE MORE. THAT'S THE PURPOSE WHEN GOVT IS SAYING THAT YOU BRING A FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS WITH YOU.
2. do they require licence even for a electric gadget repair work like, iron, geyser, motor, fan etc? LEGALLY YES. WITHOUT IT YOU COULD BE A UNLICENCED HANDYMAN...
3. can we drive bicycle without a licence? is there any parking space for bicycles? YOU CAN RIDE BICYCLES FOR FREE! JUST LIKE INDIA. YES, THERE ARE MANY PLACES WHERE YOU COULD PARK YOUR BIKE FREE. YOU NEED VERY GOOD LOCK!
4. how much costly is average indian cooked (ready to eat) food?? or which foods are cheaper? ABOUT 4 BUCKS, I WOULD SAY...
5. how much does the cheapest Toronto-Delhi and Toro-ND-Toro ticket costs by Ship? DO YOU HAVE SHIP GOING ANYWHERE FROM ND? YOU BETTER GET YOUR UPPER FLOOR CHECKED....
