You can not get child tax benefit if kid is out of Canada
After introduction of PR card automatically record updated in CIC database even you don't inform CIC
My desi Telegu neighbour recently sent his 4 year old son back to India and automatically his child tax benifit stopped(He never informed CIC anything) .CIC sent a letter that they will evalute the cost of living for a kid in India and will give him the benefit accordingly

This is something new for me. I thought you will get it no matter where your kids are.

So now the Q is cost of living for a kid in India.? any estemation?
