Hi everyone,
I hope that someone can answer my question. I try to find my case on internet but I could not find the answer.
I was a full-time student last year. I did my Co-Op (Internship) for a company during school time and got paid $2000 plus one $100 gift card at the end of the Co-OP term.
When I ask the company for T4A, they sent me T4A with $2000 under box 018 (lump sum payment).
From my research, all of the honorarium from co-op and internship term will be taxable. I am not sure this income will be considered self- employed or not because it under box 018.
Please help me to answer this question, or give me any number of CRA that I can call and get the answer.
Thank you,
Jen
