It looks like the financial category has been laid back..is that becoz every one is busy with Real estate transactions ??
Anyways, i started looking into self manage my retirement portfolio and exploring low cost index based ETF's.
Basically, i am binge reading CCP (couch potato) and other financial blogs lately and come to a conclusion investing in the below ETF's
time to time i might explore new ones, but for now these seems to be less volatile and more diversification...
Going for DCA strategy with 60EQ/40BND allocations in the below instruments
VAB - Canadian Bonds
VCN - Canadian equities (TSX)
VUN - US equities (S&P)
XEF - International (EAFE)
XEC - International (Emerging Markets)
If any of you are already self managing ETF's, please share your inputs or feedback.
